Somerville Open Farm Day

Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 11 am – 4 pm 

(Rain Date June 17)

Come visit to explore the land, check out the growing gardens, see the animals, and sample and buy farm products. Participating farms will have signs by their mailbox. Please park in designated lots or carefully along the edge of the road. We ask that you wait for a guide before exploring the farm. Some farms have self-guided walking trails available.

Bò LAIT FARM

Open for tours from 11-3:30 pm only A medium sized, MOFGA certified organic dairy. Alexis and Conor ship wholesale milk to Organic Valley. 

BRIGGS FARM

Corey and Alicia own a small farm on a historic homestead, focused on raising pigs and chickens, cultivating a diverse garden & and managing an apiary full of honey bees. Stop by for a chat!

FARMER IN THE DELL

Open for tours from 2-4 pm only A small homestead reviving family farmland to produce organic vegetables, raspberries, flowers, & free-range eggs. Home of “Naughty Goat” Dairy, offering raw milk & cheeses. Stop by their “honor system” roadside stand anytime May - Sept. On Facebook.

PUMPKIN VINE FAMILY FARM

A commercial goat dairy and farm education center on the site of the historic Hewett farm. Come kiss the kid goats, sample our cheese, and take a hike in the back fields. Anil, Kelly, Keiran & Sarita are excited to be building community!


SAND HILL FARM

An historic Somerville Farm, dating back to at least the mid 1800’s. Shaun and Benji have been growing certified organic fruits, vegetables, grains, and hay since 1991, and have recently added a certified kitchen. Come tour the gardens and enjoy the views! They’d love to see you!

SUMMIT FARM

Jamie and Heidi Bray, along with their children Lily and Wyatt, welcome visitors to their homestead, where they raise Scottish Highland cattle, pigs and chickens. They recently built a sugar shack and made their own maple syrup for the first time! Located on the old Summit Hotel property, they have walking trails available.

WILD MILLER FARM

Just across our northern border, a horse powered, small family farm growing MOFGA Certified Organic produce. Produce is available at their self-serve farm store, dawn to dusk from Memorial Day through Nov. We will be offering a potluck lunch on the day of the event.
